This specimen is a relatively young, corrupted variant of the ‘Ghost Leviathan’. Deformities of internal organs and bone degradation suggest severe malnutrition.
1. Eye:
The phantom leviathan’s sensory organs have been reduced to one free-floating eye. Despite the lack of visible nerves and muscles to hold it in place, the creature behaves as if it has a full range of vision— possibly a full 360° view without limitations.
2. Poison:
The phantom leviathan constantly secretes a colorful unidentifiable compound. This ‘poison’ could be some sort of corrosive element, but may be a unique strand of virus (not the Red Plague). Regardless, it is highly dangerous and is used to disable the nervous systems of its prey.
3. Location:
This leviathan specimen has recently arrived to this location, likely incentivized by the imbalanced ecosystem that lacks any larger predators, therefore establishing it as a core component of the food chain.

概要 / Overview
カラー細菌を遥かに超える危険度を持つ新種病原体「レッド・プレイグ」を実装する大型MOD「The Red Plague」で登場する、リヴァイアサン級生物。
ゴーストリヴァイアサンの幼体がレッド・プレイグに感染し、変異した姿。
臓器や骨格が透けて見える半透明の肉体、頭部内部に存在する巨大な黄色い単眼という異様な外観へと変貌している。頭部左右に張り出した角状の器官のみが、かろうじて変異前の面影を残している。
A Leviathan-class creature featured in The Red Plague, a large MOD that introduces the Red Plague, a new pathogen far more dangerous than the Kharaa bacterium.
It is the mutated form of a juvenile Ghost Leviathan infected with the Red Plague.
Its body has transformed into a grotesque translucent form through which its organs and skeleton can be seen, with an enormous yellow eye suspended inside its head. Only the horn-like organs projecting from either side of its head retain any trace of its former appearance.

甲高い咆哮を上げながら、生息域を当てもなく徘徊する。人間の悲鳴や絶叫を思わせる異様な咆哮と、濃い霧の中で輝く黄色い単眼を備えているため、接近を見落とすことはまずないだろう。
Only one individual has been confirmed, inhabiting the deepest part of the Plague Cave.
It wanders aimlessly through its territory while emitting piercing roars. Its unnerving cries resemble human screams and shrieks, while its glowing yellow eye stands out through the dense fog, making its approach almost impossible to overlook.
脅威と対処 / Threats & Countermeasures
極めて高い攻撃性を持つうえ、全身から霧状の有害物質を放出しているため、接近するだけでも多大な危険を伴う。突進の威力は壊滅的であり、生身のプレイヤーに命中した場合は体力の約70％、シーモスに対しては耐久値の約40％を一撃で奪う。
プレイグ洞窟の内部は障害物が多く、さらに赤い霧によって視界が著しく遮られている。遭遇時の回避行動を誤ると狭所へ追い込まれ、そのまま立て続けに攻撃を受けて破壊される危険がある。そのため、シーモスのソナーで周囲の地形を把握し、逃走経路を見失わないようにすることが重要である。反対に、障害物の位置を正確に把握できていれば、ファントムリヴァイアサンの突進を防ぐ盾として利用できる。
また、洞窟の壁面には未知の敵性生物が多数潜んでおり、接近した乗り物を拘束して大きな損傷を与えてくる。自由な水中移動が難しく、ソナーも搭載していないプローンスーツでの侵入は極めて危険であり、推奨されない。
なお、プレイグ洞窟は大型潜水艦が進入できない環境であるため、サイクロプスのような大型潜水艦に対する攻撃性や、攻撃を受けた際の被害は不明である。
It is extremely aggressive and constantly releases a mist-like harmful substance from its entire body, making even close proximity highly dangerous. Its charge is devastating: a direct hit removes approximately 70% of the player's health outside a vehicle, while a single strike against a Seamoth reduces its durability by around 40%.
The interior of the Plague Cave contains numerous obstacles, while the dense red fog severely limits visibility. A poorly judged evasive maneuver can leave the player trapped in a confined space, where repeated attacks may quickly destroy the vehicle. It is therefore important to use the Seamoth's sonar to track the surrounding terrain and avoid losing sight of an escape route. Conversely, once the obstacles are mapped accurately, they can be used as shields to block the Phantom Leviathan's charges.
Numerous unidentified hostile creatures also lurk along the cave walls, restraining approaching vehicles and inflicting heavy damage. Entering with a Prawn Suit is extremely dangerous and is not recommended, as it lacks both free underwater mobility and sonar.
Because the Plague Cave cannot be entered by large submarines, its aggression toward vessels such as the Cyclops, and the damage it would inflict on them, remain unknown.
