この個体は、かつてスペードフィッシュだったものが激しく損傷・変形させられた姿である。複雑な過程を経て、プレイグ物質は“皮膚”の複数箇所に切れ目を入れ、小さな断片へと切断し、それらを内側へと反転させることで、皮膚全体を徐々に「裏返し」の状態へと変化させている。この過程は、極めて強い苦痛を伴うものと見られる。
独特な遊泳パターン:
皮膚が反転したことで感覚器官に異常が生じ、それに伴い平衡感覚も失われている。反転型スペードフィッシュは上下逆さまの状態で、口を上方へ向けながら泳ぐ姿が観察される。これにより、本来の摂食行動が阻害され、徐々に飢餓状態に陥るため、不安定で必死な行動を示すようになる。
評価: 回避すること。または苦痛から解放するため無力化すること
This specimen is actually a heavily mutilated spadefish. Through an elaborate process, plague matter has made several cuts into its ‘skin,’ splicing it into loose small portions that are then able to be flipped inward, resulting in its skin being turned “inside out” gradually. This process appears to be extremely painful.
Unique swimming pattern:
The inversion of the skin of the spadefish has also affected its sensory organs, and by extension its equilibrium. The inverted spadefish can then be observed swimming upside down, with its mouth facing upwards. This disrupts its normal feeding instincts, causing it to slowly starve, leading to erratic and desperate behavior.

大型MOD「The Red Plague」に登場する、レッド・プレイグの影響で変異したスペードフィッシュ。
スペードフィッシュがレッド・プレイグに感染すると、一定の確率でこの異形へと変異する。
頭部の巨大な眼球は失われ、代わりに複数の歯が並ぶ口が開いている。また、プレイグによって全身の皮膚が切り刻まれ裏返しにされているという、プレイグ変異生物の中でもひときわ凄惨な変異を遂げた存在。

When a Spadefish becomes infected with the Red Plague, it has a chance of mutating into this grotesque form.
The large eye on its head is lost and replaced by a mouth lined with multiple teeth. In addition, the plague cuts apart and turns the skin across its entire body inside out, resulting in one of the most gruesome transformations seen among plague-mutated creatures.

行動 / Behavior
プレイヤーを含む周囲のあらゆる生物に対して攻撃的に振る舞い、凶暴な性質を示す。動きは緩慢で与えるダメージこそ小さいものの、体力は通常種から大幅に増加しており、ナイフによる数回の攻撃では無力化できない。
It behaves aggressively toward all nearby creatures, including the player, displaying a highly hostile temperament. Although it moves slowly and inflicts relatively little damage, its health has increased significantly compared with a normal Spadefish, and a few strikes with a knife are not enough to incapacitate it.

余談 / Trivia
- プレイグ化した小型草食魚の中で本種だけが特に凄惨な変異を遂げているのは、その頑丈な外皮によって数多くのシーモスに損傷を与えてきた“厄介な存在”であったことが影響しているのかもしれない。なお、プレイグ化によってその外皮の耐久性は失われており、本種と衝突してもシーモスが損傷を受けることはない。
- The fact that this species undergoes a particularly gruesome transformation compared with other plague-mutated small herbivorous fish may be related to the original Spadefish's reputation as a “nuisance,” having damaged countless Seamoths with its tough outer hide. However, that durability is lost after the mutation, and colliding with an Inverted Spadefish will not damage a Seamoth.
