このブラダフィッシュを模した個体は、惑星4546Bに生息する既存生物に似た特徴を持つが、いくつかの顕著な相違点が確認されている。
- この個体の身体は、ほぼ完全に膿疱状の肉組織に侵食されている。かつて存在していた臓器は、すべて体内に融合している。
- 全身は鋭い突起に覆われており、捕食者と獲物の区別なく、その肉を引き裂くために用いられる。
- この生物は極度に膨張しており、運動能力は大きく制限されている。しかし、それによって行動が抑制される様子はなく、遭遇したあらゆる対象に対して驚くほど攻撃的である。

This mimicked bladderfish bears some resemblance to other species found on 4546B though has some notable differences.
- The body of this specimen has almost entirely been consumed by pustulous flesh. Any organs that it once had have been amalgamated into its body.
- Spiky protrusions cover this creature's body, primarily used to tear open the flesh of predators and prey alike.
- The creature is incredibly bloated, limiting its mobility. This does not seem to deter the creature however, and it is surprisingly hostile to all that it encounters.
It is unclear where this creature originated from, or its purpose. Further study recommended.

カラー細菌を遥かに超える危険度を持つ新種病原体「レッド・プレイグ」を実装する大型MOD「The Red Plague」で登場する、ブラダフィッシュの変異体。
ブラダフィッシュがレッド・プレイグに感染すると、一定の確率でこの異形へと変異する。
身体の上下に棘の列が並び、全体が脈打つ肉塊のように変質しており、もはや生物としての原型を留めていない。
A mutated form of the Bladderfish that appears in The Red Plague, a large MOD that adds the Red Plague, a new pathogen far more dangerous than the Kharaa bacterium.
When a Bladderfish becomes infected by the Red Plague, it has a chance to mutate into this aberrant form.
Rows of spines line the upper and lower parts of its body, and its entire form has been transformed into a pulsating mass of flesh, no longer retaining the original shape of a living creature.

プレイヤーを含む周囲のあらゆる生物に対して攻撃的に振る舞い、凶暴な性質を示す。与えるダメージこそ小さいものの、動きが非常に素早く、採取や建築などで静止している際に不意を突かれやすい。また、体力も大幅に増加しており、ナイフによる数回の攻撃では無力化できない点にも注意が必要である。
本種における最大の脅威はその攻撃性ではなく、ブラダフィッシュという序盤の貴重な水分供給源が失われることである。レッド・プレイグに感染した個体は捕獲不可能となるため、健康なブラダフィッシュを確保したい場合はアクアリウムや大型水槽での飼育を推奨する。マーブルメロンの栽培や水ろ過装置の設置など、代替となる安定した水分補給手段を早期に確立すること。
It behaves aggressively toward nearly every creature around it, including the player, displaying a violent nature. Although the damage it deals is low, it moves extremely quickly, making it easy to be caught off guard while standing still to gather resources or construct buildings. Its health has also been greatly increased, so it cannot be neutralized with only a few knife strikes.
The greatest threat posed by this species is not its aggression, but rather the loss of Bladderfish as a valuable early-game source of water. Individuals infected by the Red Plague cannot be caught, so if the player wishes to secure healthy Bladderfish, keeping them in an Aquarium or Alien Containment is recommended. Alternative and stable sources of hydration, such as farming Marblemelons or installing a Water Filtration Machine, should be established early.

- 原種とは似ても似つかない肉塊状の不気味な外見を持つ一方で、本種の外観がファストフードチェーン・マクドナルドのサンドイッチ商品である「マックリブ」の具材（ポークパティ）に酷似しているという指摘が、コミュニティ内で広く知られている。この反応を受け、将来的に現在のモデルが変更される、あるいは既存モデルとは別に新たなモデルが追加される可能性が示唆されている。

なお、後に実装された消費アイテム「プロテインスナック（Protein Snack）」は、以下の説明文から判断するに、前述の「マックリブ」ネタを意識して実装された可能性が高い。モデルの外観も、本種に驚くほど酷似している。

- Although this species has a grotesque, fleshy appearance that barely resembles the original creature, it is widely known in the community that its model closely resembles the pork patty from McDonald’s McRib sandwich. In response to this reaction, it has been suggested that the current model may be changed in the future, or that a new model may be added alongside the existing one.

A consumable item added later, the “Protein Snack,” was most likely implemented with the aforementioned “McRib” joke in mind, judging from its description. Its model also bears an astonishing resemblance to this species.
“A boneless, protein-rich patty coated in barbecue sauce. Tastes like pork. Definitely safe to eat.”
