Threat Level: Extreme Threat
Source MOD:
Tessopatherio is Real
PDA Databank
A hostile leviathan class species in which can be found both within and outside of the volcanic crater.
Jaws:
The Tessopatherio possesses many small, sharp teeth that are useful for catching smaller creatures. Uniquely, it also has a pair of toothless jaws on the side of its mouth, typically acting as a funnel to prevent said prey from escaping.
Hunting Grounds:
While it typically lives in the ecological dead zone, due to it being devoid of large prey items and potential territory conflicts with the much larger Ghost Leviathan, the Tessopatherio must travel to and hunt in other bio-diverse zones in order to survive.
Profile:
The full-grown length of adult specimens can vary in ranges of about 60-70 meters. Fast, agile, and occasionally erratic movements are typical of this species. When found within the void, it is surprisingly docile.
Assessment: Extreme threat - Be wary when exploring biomes near the crater edge and avoid in all circumstances

Overview
「Tessopatherio is Real 」MOD
A leviathan-class organism featured in the Tessopatherio is Real mod, distinguished by its four-part jaw structure and crimson coloration.
Although no evolutionary relationship with any known species has been confirmed, its divided jaw structure and four-eyed arrangement—two eyes on each side—are traits also seen in several lifeforms native to Planet 4546B. Numerous bioluminescent organs line the sides of its body, while well-developed fin-like structures on its dorsal and ventral surfaces emit a pale blue glow in darkness.

Behavior
Unlike most large creatures, this species does not have fixed spawn locations. Nearly every biome along the outer edge of the Crater, as well as the Void, can serve as a spawn area, and the creature appears dynamically in response to the player's actions. As a result, it is difficult to avoid encounters simply by learning its habitat, as can be done with more conventional leviathans.
After appearing, it roams over a wide area and pursues and consumes nearby small to medium-sized creatures. It may also remain near the player for extended periods as though tracking them, and has been observed persistently swimming around the area even after the player retreats inside a base. On the other hand, encounters are almost never reported in shallow biomes near the center of the Crater, and appear to be extremely rare there.
As stated in its databank entry, the Tessopatherio does not display hostile behavior when encountered in the Void.
Threats & Countermeasures
This species is extremely agile, and once the player has been targeted, escaping by swimming alone is difficult. Although its attacks are not powerful enough to kill the player instantly, a single bite may remove more than half of the player's health depending on their equipment. Its aggression appears somewhat lower than that of other hostile leviathan-class creatures, and there are reports of players swimming near one for some time without being attacked. Nevertheless, it remains a dangerous predator, and approaching it unnecessarily is not recommended.
It can also inflict damage equal to roughly 40% of a Seamoth's durability in a single attack, so caution is still required while piloting a vehicle. On the other hand, it does not appear aggressive toward larger submarines such as the Cyclops, making a large vessel the safer option when exploring areas where the creature may appear.
The greatest threat posed by this species is not its raw attack power, but rather the difficulty of predicting where an encounter will occur. Because it has no fixed habitat and may unexpectedly appear across numerous biomes, it can suddenly emerge in locations where players would not normally expect to encounter a large predator.
The exact conditions governing its appearance remain unknown. However, multiple observations report individuals appearing after the player had remained in an eligible biome for an extended period, as well as cases in which the creature's calls were heard before it was seen. It has also been observed roaming across an exceptionally wide area, suggesting that it may actively track the player. However, given its broad spawn range, it is also possible that the player simply encountered different individuals while traveling between locations, and whether the species actually performs continuous pursuit remains unclear.
Overall, the danger posed by the Tessopatherio lies less in exceptionally high aggression or lethal attack power than in its elusive spawning behavior and unpredictable movements.

Trivia

Ah, another hostile Leviathan mod. Isn't that original? Usually they typically live in the Void.
Well, well, looks like this guy is actually a risk-taker.
You all should be incredibly impressed. Though even with that, I suppose these kinds of mods always seem to be enough for you people.
Oh yeah, hi. You don't need to know who I am. Not yet anyway.
However, I will tell you that I am not the developer of this mod. (Laughs) Not by a long shot.
He's so blind he didn't even notice my code before he compiled this.
And speaking of code, the way the Leviathan is made... well... it just copies existing code. But really... since when did that ever matter?
そんなことがいつから問題になった?)This modder has no visual and sound design, perhaps better than the top modders themselves... I mean, take one look at the Red Plague.
But... come on, nobody's gonna say that. That'd hurt their feelings, you know.
If you think this is a quality addition to the ever-growing list of meaningless creature mods, you are very, very mistaken.
In reality, you don't know what any of this is.
Well... I do. I know exactly what this is.
Simply put... this is all just...
(another hostile Leviathan mod.)」
(Usually they typically live in the Void.)」
- Given the creature's defining feature as a predator with a four-part jaw structure, the name “Tessopatherio” may be a coined term derived from the Greek words “tessera” (four) and “therion” (beast).

On extremely rare occasions, an audio message can be obtained when this creature dies. The chance appears to be very low, and it is unknown whether any additional conditions are involved. The message can be played over the radio, although the audio quality is extremely poor. The following is the message transcribed as accurately as possible:

- In summary, the recording appears to feature a “mysterious individual” who is not the mod's developer speaking directly to the player—or perhaps the audience. It functions as a meta message criticizing existing creature mods while hinting at “something” hidden within this mod itself.
- The line “another hostile Leviathan mod” can be read as a jab at the tendency for Subnautica mods that add aggressive leviathan-class creatures to have become something of a standard formula. In fact, harmless leviathans such as the Reefback, Glow Whale, and Ventgarden from the base games Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero are extremely uncommon among Subnautica mods.
- Likewise, the line “Usually they typically live in the Void” may be mocking the familiar idea of using the Void, or Ecological Dead Zone, as the habitat for gigantic leviathans.
- The Tessopatherio's unusual behavior—appearing without a fixed habitat as though following the player, while becoming harmless in the normally dangerous Void—can be interpreted as a kind of antithesis to many other modded leviathans.
- In addition, when the creature's previously described traits are considered alongside the content of the message, the phrase “is Real” in the mod's title also appears suggestive. Several interpretations are possible: that the Tessopatherio continually appears in response to the player's presence, forcing the player to acknowledge that it “is real”; that the title expresses confidence that this mod represents an ideal modded leviathan in contrast to more conventional examples; or, when considered together with the mysterious entity speaking in the recording, that the Tessopatherio is not a native organism of Planet 4546B at all, but an entity aware of the player and somehow “real” beyond the boundaries of the game itself.
