施設に接近するとPDAが冒頭のメッセージを再生し、同時に「イオン施設タブレット」の設計図がダウンロードされる。

When the player approaches the facility, the PDA plays the opening message, and the blueprint for the “Ion Facility Tablet” is downloaded at the same time.

初訪問時点の本施設は大きく損傷しており、上層フロアに1か所、下層フロアに3か所、計4か所の壁面亀裂が発生している。損傷の影響により施設内の照明はすべて消灯しているため、暗闇の中でツールのライトを活用しながら、すべての亀裂をリペアツールで修復する必要がある。

During the first visit, the facility is heavily damaged, with four wall cracks in total: one on the upper floor and three on the lower floor. Due to the damage, all lighting inside the facility is turned off, so the player must use a tool light in the darkness and repair every crack with the Repair Tool.

すべての損傷箇所を修復すると施設機能が回復し、照明が再点灯する。同時に、関連施設へのエネルギー供給が再開されたことを示すアナウンスがPDAから再生される。これにより「ワープ技術開発施設」および「防衛技術研究施設」への侵入が可能となるため、破損箇所の修復はストーリー進行において必須である。

Once all damaged sections have been repaired, the facility’s functions are restored and the lights come back on. At the same time, the PDA plays an announcement indicating that energy supply to related facilities has resumed. This allows access to the Warp Technologies Development Facility and the Defensive Technologies Research Facility, making the repair of the damaged sections essential for story progression.

フロア下層のアーチを通過した先の防衛技術研究施設について、現時点では各区画がエネルギーフィールドによって封鎖されており、大部分の探索は行えない。しかし、アーチが設置された部屋には以降のストーリー進行に必須となるアイテム「防衛施設タブレット」が配置されているため、初回訪問時に忘れず回収しておくこと。

The Defensive Technologies Research Facility reached through the arch on the lower floor is, at this point, mostly inaccessible because each section is sealed off by energy fields. However, the room containing the arch also contains the Defense Facility Tablet, an item required for later story progression, so be sure to collect it during the first visit.
