装置の上下構造の間には、[神経クラスター] と呼ばれるアルゴリズム・ソフトウェアの一種が保持されている。[神経クラスター] には『Or-Ion』というシードコードが記されている。この名称は通常、地球の有名な星座を指すが、普遍的な識別子である可能性もある。この場合、プロジェクト名、あるいは検体識別名として使用されている可能性がある。
本装置は周囲の生命体をスキャンし、それぞれの神経プロファイルを作成しているようだ。大半のプロファイルは魚類やその他の原始的生物のものだが、最新の記録はあなたのものと思われる。このデータは2つの別施設へアップロードされている。
2. 船体建造:
端末の両側にある2基の構造物は莫大なイオンエネルギーを内包しており、それを中央端末へ放出する。端末周囲を浮遊するドローンには物質転送技術が含まれている。端末が密閉型ムーンプールの隣に配置されていることから、水中技術の建造を目的として設計された可能性が高い。

This device seems to be the origin of the recently-detected neural analysis. Thankfully, it has been calibrated only to read neural data, and not to write it.
It appears to serve two primary functions.
1. Data Storage:
The device harbours a form of algorithmic software referred to as a [NEURAL CLUSTER] suspended between its upper and lower halves. The [NEURAL CLUSTER] is marked with seed code “Or-Ion”, a name typically reserved for the famous earth constellation, but that may be a universal identifier. In this case, it is being used possibly as a project title or specimen identification.
The device appears to be scanning nearby lifeforms, and creating a neural profile of each. While most profiles are that of fish and other primitive organisms, the most recent entry appears to be of you. The data has been uploaded to two separate facilities.
2. Vessel Construction:
The two structures to either side of the terminal contain massive amounts of ionic energy, and disperse it to the central terminal. The drones surrounding the terminal contain matter transmission technology. Given the terminals' position beside an enclosed moonpool, it is likely designed to construct subaquatic technology.

隔離執行施設の下部フロア、ムーンプールの水上部分に設置されている。
本端末は大きく三つの要素から構成されている。使用者が操作するコンソールパネルを備えた本体、本体上部に浮遊し、建造および各種アップグレードの製造処理を担うアルゴリズム型ソフトウェア「神経クラスター」、そしてフロアの隅に配置された2基のエネルギー貯蔵装置である。
The Construction Terminal is located on the lower floor of the Quarantine Enforcement Platform, above the water level of the moonpool.
The terminal consists of three main components: the main unit with a console panel operated by the user, the “neural cluster,” an algorithmic software entity floating above the terminal that handles construction and upgrade fabrication processes, and two energy storage devices positioned in the corners of the floor.

コンソールパネルは、標準ゲームにおけるファブリケーターや乗り物改造端末に相当する機能を有しており、必要な素材を消費することで潜水艦「プロトタイプ」の建造や、各種アップグレードの製作が可能である。
また、船体の建造完了後には、離れた地点に存在するプロトタイプをムーンプール内へ即座に転移させる機能も備えている。
The console panel functions similarly to the Fabricator and Vehicle Upgrade Console in the base game. By consuming the required materials, it allows the player to construct the submarine “Prototype” and fabricate various upgrades.
After the vessel has been constructed, the terminal also has the ability to instantly teleport the Prototype back into the moonpool, even if it is located elsewhere.
『The Prototype Expansion』のストーリーは、建造端末でプロトタイプを建造することによってスタートする。
さらに、特定の条件を満たした場合には、ストーリー進行に関わる座標情報や設計図をプレイヤーのPDAへ転送する役割も担っているため、本MODを進行する上で不可欠な装置である。
The story of The Prototype Expansion begins when the player constructs the Prototype using this terminal.
In addition, under certain conditions, the terminal also transfers coordinates and blueprints related to story progression to the player’s PDA, making it an essential device for progressing through the MOD.

余談 / Trivia
- MODの不具合により、ムーンプールに停泊中のプロトタイプが壁面にめり込み、操作不能になることが稀に発生する。その場合はコンソールコマンド「unstuckprototype」を使用することで船体をテレポートさせ、状態を正常に戻すことが可能。
- Due to a MOD bug, the Prototype docked in the moonpool may rarely clip into the wall and become impossible to operate. In this case, the console command “unstuckprototype” can be used to teleport the vessel and restore it to a normal state.
