• 「精神安定薬」の側面には「KEEP CALM」の文字が記されている。これは、Subnauticaプレイヤーにはなじみ深いポスター「Keep Calm Poster」に由来する可能性がある。
• いくつかの装備や建築物には、ゲーム本編で未使用となった複数のアイテムモデルが流用されている。
  • 「感染サンプラー」のモデルは、標準ゲーム内にデータのみが残された未使用ツール「トランスフューザー」のものを流用している。
  • 「プレイグ中和装置」のモデルは、標準ゲーム内にデータとして存在するものの、通常プレイでは使用されない未実装装置「標本分析装置」のものを流用している。
  • 「PN-CA追跡装置」のモデルは、標準ゲームの最重要収容施設内に存在する異星人のアーティファクト「旧式タブレット」のものを流用している。

• オーロラ自動販売機の説明文に記された “I am the original　　　　Starship souvenir” という、大量の空白が挿入された奇妙な一文は、トビー・フォックス氏が制作したインディーRPG『DELTARUNE』に登場するキャラクター「スターウォーカー」の台詞をパロディしたものである可能性がある。

• The word “Norepinephrine” in the English name “Ambient Norepinephrine Dampener” refers to noradrenaline. Based on its name, the device may work by affecting the surrounding environment and suppressing physiological responses related to the player’s norepinephrine, thereby reducing the harmful effects of the Plague.
• The name “TADPOLE Drone Formation” comes from the English word “tadpole,” meaning the larval stage of a frog. As it turns out, the same name is also used for the small submarine “Tadpole” in Subnautica 2.
• Although the Protein Snack is made from Meat Shrooms, which can be eaten safely, its dangerous properties are most likely caused by the Neutralized Flesh Ingot that is also used as one of its ingredients.
  • The model for the Protein Snack closely resembles the Plagued Bladderfish, a native creature mutated by the Plague. This may be based on a community joke within the MOD’s community that the Plagued Bladderfish looks just like a McRib. The Protein Snack’s description, which describes it as a boneless, protein-rich patty coated in barbecue sauce. Tastes like pork, also appears to be a clear reference to the McRib.
  • This item may also have originated from a joke request in the MOD’s Discord community about wanting to eat fish mutated by the Plague.
• The unusual line “I am the original　　　　Starship souvenir” in the Aurora Vending Machine’s description, with an unusually large gap inserted between the words, may be a parody of a line spoken by Starwalker, a character from the indie RPG DELTARUNE, created by Toby Fox.
  • In the game, he(?) repeatedly says the mysterious line, “I'm the original　　　　Starwalker.” The conspicuously large spacing between the words, along with the similarity between “Starwalker” and “Starship,” suggests a clear resemblance to the wording used in this item's description.
