概要 / Overview
オーロラ号内部、無数の肉塊に覆われたエンジンルーム内にのみ生息する、正体不明の巨大生物。
不定形の胴体正面には、無数の鋭い歯に覆われた巨大な口が開いている。胴体下部からは、節足動物を思わせる4対8本の細長い脚が伸びており、胴体後部にはヒレを備えた巨大な尾部が続いている。
本種がオーロラ号のエンジンルーム内でのみ目撃される理由や、同区域を覆う肉塊との関係は分かっていない。ドライブコアの修復、および同区域に存在する重要装備の設計図を入手する際に、重大な脅威となる。
An unidentified giant organism found exclusively in the Drive Room aboard the Aurora, an area covered in countless masses of flesh.
The front of its amorphous body is dominated by an enormous mouth lined with countless sharp teeth. Four pairs of slender, arthropod-like legs extend from the underside of its body, while a massive finned tail continues from the rear.
It is unknown why this species has only been observed in the Aurora's Drive Room, or what relationship it has with the masses of flesh covering the area. It poses a major threat while repairing the drive core or retrieving blueprint data for important equipment located within the room.

行動 / Behavior
通常は姿を見せず、水面下の壁面を覆う肉塊に接近すると、人間の叫び声のような音を発しながら突如出現し、プレイヤーの追跡を開始する。
プレイヤーがエンジンルームから退避すると追跡を中断し、再び肉塊の中へ戻るようにして消失する。また、水中から室内の水上部分へ上がることはなく、活動範囲はエンジンルーム内の水中に限られている。
It normally remains hidden. When the player approaches the masses of flesh covering the submerged walls, it suddenly emerges with a cry resembling a human scream and begins pursuing them.
If the player retreats from the Drive Room, it abandons the pursuit and disappears as though returning into the flesh. It never leaves the water to enter the dry sections of the room, and its activity is confined to the submerged portion of the Drive Room.
脅威と対処 / Threats & Countermeasures
巨大な体躯にもかかわらず、水中を極めて高速で移動する。
捕食されても即死はしないが、約15のダメージを受けたうえで、エンジンルームの入口付近へ強制的に戻される。出現そのものを防ぐ手段は存在せず、壁面を覆う肉塊に接近しないことが、唯一の確実な遭遇回避策となる。
ステイシスライフルのパルスを直撃させれば、一時的に動きを停止させることが可能である。あらかじめ移動先付近の肉塊にパルスを発生させておけば、出現直後の本種を拘束し、その移動を封じることができる。
ドライブコアの修復や重要装備の設計図データを入手する際は、常にステイシスライフルを携行すること。本種が出現した場合は無理に作業を続けず、一度エンジンルームの外へ退避することを推奨する。
なお、本種を殺害すること自体は可能である。殺害後は周囲の肉塊へ接近しても再出現しなくなり、エンジンルーム内を安全に探索できる。ただし、体力値は5,000とリヴァイアサン級生物に匹敵するため、通常の方法で正面から戦闘することは推奨されない。
殺害後はエンジンルームから出入りしても復活しないが、死骸の口部に接触すると再び捕食される。この挙動が発生すると本種は復活し、再び肉塊から出現するようになるため、殺害後も口部へ不用意に接近しないこと。
Despite its enormous size, it moves through the water at extremely high speed.
Being devoured does not kill the player instantly, but it inflicts approximately 15 damage and forcibly returns them to the entrance of the Drive Room. There is no way to prevent the creature from appearing; avoiding the masses of flesh covering the walls is the only reliable means of avoiding an encounter.
A direct hit from a Stasis Rifle pulse can temporarily immobilize it. Firing a pulse at a nearby mass of flesh before moving into the area can trap the creature immediately after it emerges and prevent it from advancing.
Always carry a Stasis Rifle when repairing the drive core or retrieving blueprint data for important equipment. If the creature appears, do not attempt to continue working; retreat from the Drive Room before proceeding.
It is possible to kill the creature. Once killed, it will no longer emerge when the player approaches the surrounding masses of flesh, allowing the Drive Room to be explored safely. However, it has 5,000 health—comparable to a Leviathan-class creature—so engaging it directly through conventional means is not recommended.
It does not revive merely because the player leaves and re-enters the Drive Room. However, touching the mouth of its corpse triggers the devouring attack again. This causes the creature to revive and resume emerging from the masses of flesh, so its mouth should still be avoided after it has been killed.

余談 / Trivia
- 2026年6月10日のアップデートにて、外観が大きく変更された。旧モデルには脚部や尾部が存在せず、不定形の胴体から複数の人体上半身が突き出しているという、現在とは大きく異なる異様な姿をしていた。なお、現在のモデルに追加された尾部は、その形状からボーンシャークのモデルを流用、あるいは改変したものと思われる。
- 古いバージョンでは、「プレイグ・アーマー」を装備せずにエンジンルームへ侵入すると、本種が直ちに出現する仕様となっており、遭遇を回避する手段は存在しなかった。現在のバージョンでは、エンジンルーム内の肉塊へ接近しない限り姿を現さない。そのため、エンジンルームにおけるミッションの達成に「プレイグ・アーマー」は必須ではなくなっている。
- Its appearance was extensively redesigned in the June 10, 2026 update. The former model lacked both legs and a tail, instead featuring several human upper bodies protruding from an amorphous torso, giving it a bizarre appearance entirely unlike its current form. Judging from its shape, the tail added to the current model appears to reuse or modify the Boneshark model.
- In older versions, entering the Drive Room without wearing Plague Armor caused the creature to appear immediately, leaving no way to avoid the encounter. In the current version, it remains hidden unless the player approaches the masses of flesh inside the room. As a result, Plague Armor is no longer required to complete the mission in the Drive Room.
