そう考えてほぼ間違いないと思ったのは、触手の塊が突然あたしを捕まえて、壁の穴に引きずり込もうとしてきたからよ！ 幸い、すぐにシーモスまで戻れたから助かったんだけど、タブレットの方はそうもいかなかったわ。揉み合っている間に、いくつもの破片に砕けちゃったのよ。それでも破片はなんとか回収できたから、研究拠点に持ち帰って復元を試みていたの。……マイケルが高熱を出すまではね。
本人は大丈夫だって言ってるけど、あたしたちにはそうじゃないって分かってるわ。体中が焼けるように熱くて、かゆくてたまらないって、ずっと訴えているのよ……。それに幻覚まで見ているみたいで、皮膚が溶けて、頭が3つある人物のことを何度も口にしているの。こんな状態なのに、本人はまだ研究を続けられるって言い張ってるのよねぇ。でも、あたしは彼を信じようと思うわ。なんたって、彼はあたしたちのチームでも指折りの研究者なんだから。
えーっと、ま、そんなわけで、こっちでは引き続き研究を進めていくわ。このタブレットについては、数日中に何か報告できると思うから、期待しててちょうだい。以上、キャシーでした。
Alterra HQ, this is Research Team 7 Lead Researcher Cassy Wansin. That expedition to the sunken facility yielded results. We’ve retrieved a unique artifact that resembles the previously seen access tablets, but this one is… different, it’s glowing red, and seems related to The Red Plague in some way.
That was all but confirmed when a mass of tentacles tried to snatch me up and drag me into some opening in the wall. I managed to get back to my seamoth fast enough but the tablet wasn’t so lucky— it got broken into several pieces during the scuffle. Managed to recover the fragments, though, so we’ve transported it back to our research habitat to see if we can reconstruct it— which we were working on until Michael came down with a severe fever.
He says he’s fine, but we all know he isn’t. Keeps rambling on about how he’s boiling hot and itchy all over… and the hallucinations, he keeps mentioning a person with melted skin and three heads. Despite all this, he’s insistent he can still work on the project, and I'm inclined to trust him. After all, he’s one of our best researchers.

大型MOD「The Red Plague」に登場する、アルテラの研究拠点。
レッド・プレイグの研究任務に従事していた「レッド・プレイグ研究チーム7」の活動拠点であったが、プレイグによって引き起こされた惨劇により、基地はほぼ完全に崩壊し、生存者も確認されていない。
基地の内外はプレイグに由来する大量の有機的な構造物に覆われ、もはや研究拠点としての機能を失っている。しかし、基地の周辺にはいくつかの重要な研究設備の残骸が残されており、これらをスキャンすることで、プレイヤーが製作可能な有用な設備の設計図を解放できる。
A research base operated by Alterra in the large-scale MOD "The Red Plague."
The base once served as the headquarters of Red Plague Research Team 7, which was tasked with studying the Red Plague. However, a catastrophe caused by the plague left the base almost completely destroyed, and no survivors have been confirmed.
The interior and exterior of the base are covered in large amounts of organic structures originating from the plague, leaving it no longer functional as a research outpost. However, the remains of several important pieces of research equipment can still be found around the base. Scanning them unlocks blueprints for useful equipment that the player can fabricate.
進行・目的 Progression & Objectives
プレイヤーがレッド・プレイグのサンプルをシャトルでフレッドたちに輸送すると、研究チーム7から救援要請の通信を受信し、基地の座標を示すビーコンが取得される。
2階建ての多目的ルームには2階の崩壊した壁面から、スキャナールームには破断したガラス通路から、それぞれ内部へ進入できる。
多目的ルームの内部には多数の残骸が散乱しており、管理者用ファブリケーターおよびプレイグ中和装置をスキャンすることで、それぞれの設計図を解放できる。
一方、スキャナールーム内にはストーリー進行に必須となるアイテム「感染タブレット」の残骸が放置されているため、忘れずスキャンすること。
また、どちらの部屋にもPDAログが残されている。これらには、研究チーム7のリーダーであるキャシー・ワンシンによる感染タブレットの調査記録と、研究チーム7を襲った惨劇を物語る、悲痛な音声記録が収録されている。
なお、基地周辺には多数のボーンシャークだけでなく、周囲の生物に見境なく攻撃を加える「変異ダイバー」も徘徊しているため、探索の際は十分に警戒すること。可能であれば、プロパルションキャノンやステイシスライフルなどのツールを準備しておくことが推奨される。
After the player sends a Red Plague sample to Fred and his colleagues via shuttle, a distress call is received from Research Team 7, and a beacon marking the base’s coordinates becomes available.
The two-story multipurpose room can be entered through a collapsed section of the wall on its second floor, while the Scanner Room can be accessed through a broken glass corridor.
Numerous pieces of wreckage are scattered throughout the multipurpose room. Scanning the Administrator Fabricator and Plague Neutralizer fragments unlocks their respective blueprints.
Meanwhile, the Scanner Room contains fragments of the Infection Tablet, an item required for story progression. Be sure to scan them.
PDA logs can also be found in both rooms. They contain Research Team 7 leader Cassy Wansin’s account of the team’s investigation into the Infection Tablet, as well as a harrowing audio recording offering a glimpse of the catastrophe that befell the team.
The area around the base is home to numerous Bonesharks, as well as Mutant Divers that indiscriminately attack nearby creatures. Exercise caution when exploring the site. Bringing tools such as a Propulsion Cannon or Stasis Rifle is recommended whenever possible.

When the player first enters the Scanner Room, a Heavily Mutant Diver appears on the other side of the window. It disappears after a few seconds and poses no danger to the player.
- In Cassy’s log, Michael is said to have hallucinated a “person with melted skin and three heads.” This may refer to the Heavily Mutant Diver that appears in the Scanner Room.

In earlier versions, visiting this base was mandatory to unlock the blueprint for the Infection Tablet, which is required for story progression. In the current version, Infection Tablet fragments can also be found at another research base, so visiting this location is no longer strictly necessary.
- Nevertheless, the base is still worth visiting, as it contains fragments of equipment such as the Administrator Fabricator and Plague Neutralizer.

At the end of “Research Team 7 Log #2,” which records the catastrophe that befell the team, a passage in the PDA transcription is marked “[Translation not available].” The words spoken here are believed to be “The plague must spread.”
- This phrase is emblematic of the MOD and is referenced repeatedly later in the story. It is also quoted on the MOD’s official Discord server as a promotional catchphrase to attract new players.
