概要 Overview
TADPOLEドローン編隊によって建造された、クレーター全域を覆うほどの巨大なドーム状構造物。外殻は6本の巨大な主支柱によって支えられており、その間には、放射状に伸びる梁とそれらを結ぶ梁によって形成された三角形の格子構造が広がっている。格子の各区画は、半透明の青いエネルギーフィールドによって覆われている。
本構造物は、レッド・プレイグのクレーター外への拡散を防ぐ隔離ドームであると同時に、その研究拠点としての役割も備えている。ドームの天頂部には、多数の研究用機材が設置された研究室と思しき区画と、物資輸送用シャトルの発着場が存在する。
また、ドーム内側の天頂部には、クレーター中央の浅瀬上空に浮かぶ浮島から、赤いレーザー状の光が照射されている。この光がどのような目的で使用されているのかは不明である。
Constructed by the TADPOLE Drone Formation, this enormous dome-shaped structure is large enough to cover the entire Crater. Its outer shell is supported by six massive primary pillars, with a triangular lattice framework formed by radial beams and connecting crossbeams spanning the spaces between them. Each section of the lattice is covered by a translucent blue energy field.
The structure serves both as a quarantine dome intended to prevent the Red Plague from spreading beyond the Crater and as a base for plague research. At the dome's apex are what appear to be laboratory areas containing a large amount of research equipment, as well as a landing pad for cargo shuttles.
A red, laser-like beam can also be seen striking the inner side of the dome's apex. The beam originates from a floating island above the shallows near the center of the Crater, though its purpose remains unknown.
進行・目的 Progression & Objectives
「The Red Plague」のAct 1終盤において、クレーター内に蔓延したレッド・プレイグが外部へ流出するのを防ぐために建造される。ドームの完成をもってAct 1は終了し、以降はAct 2のストーリーへ移行する。
現時点では、正規の手段でドーム天頂部の研究基地へ到達することはできないが、今後のアップデートによって訪問可能になる可能性がある。
Near the end of Act 1 of The Red Plague, the dome is constructed to prevent the Red Plague spreading throughout the Crater from escaping into the surrounding ocean. Act 1 concludes when construction is completed, after which the story proceeds into Act 2.
At present, there is no legitimate way to reach the research base at the dome's apex. However, it may become accessible in a future update.

余談 / Trivia
- ドームの建造後は、デッドゾーンへ進入できなくなる。デッドゾーンの探索を目的とするMODを併用している場合、ストーリーの進行や追加生物との遭遇が不可能になることがあるため注意が必要である。
- MODストーリーのAct 2では、プレイヤーが各種プレイグ関連アイテムをシャトルに積載し、アルテラの研究チームへ発送することになる。これらの物資は、ドーム天頂部に設けられた発着場を通じて研究チームに引き渡されている可能性がある。しかし、ドームの外殻はエネルギーフィールドによって覆われているため、シャトルがどのようにしてドーム外側の発着場へ到達しているのかは不明である。

現時点のMODストーリーでは、プレイヤーがドーム研究基地を訪問することは想定されていない。しかし、基地内部には様々な興味深い構造物が配置されている。
- 基地内の一角には、流出したプレイグによって汚染されたと思われる区画が存在する。周囲には肉塊や血液のような液体が広がっており、接近したプレイヤーを見つめる複数の眼球も確認できる。この光景は、研究基地内でプレイグが流出するという、今後の不穏な展開を想起させる。
- 施設の西側には、大型の転移装置と思しき謎の装置が設置されている。装置中央へ進入すると、クレーター東部のバルブゾーンとクラッシュゾーンの境界付近にある、何も存在しない水中へ転移する。この転移先がどのような目的で設定されているのかは不明である。考えられる用途としては、今後のアップデートで転移先にアルテラの施設が配置され、その内部に設けられた対となる装置からドーム研究基地へ進入できるようになる可能性がある。現時点ではクレーター側の転移装置が実装されておらず、ドーム側の装置から転移する機能のみが先行して実装されているとも考えられる。
- ドーム研究基地の内部構造自体は、Act 2の実装当初から存在していた。しかし、当時は基地内の構造物が不自然に大きく設定されており、先述の転移装置も外観のみで、実際にプレイヤーを転移させる機能は持っていなかった。現在の内部構造は、2026年6月10日に配信されたメガホットフィックスによって調整・実装されたものである。
- クレーター北部の山岳地帯に面したデッドゾーンには、水深約950mのドーム外壁に幅約300mに及ぶ巨大なゲート状の構造物が存在する。現時点では内側のゲートのみが開放されており、外側のゲートは閉鎖されている。この構造物はメガホットフィックス以前には存在しなかったため、今後のアップデートでストーリー上の役割を持つようになる可能性がある。
- Once the dome has been constructed, the player can no longer enter the Void. When using other MODs centered on exploring the Void, this may prevent their stories from progressing or make encounters with their added creatures impossible.
- In Act 2 of the MOD's story, the player loads various plague-related items onto a shuttle and sends them to Alterra's research team. These supplies may be handed over through the landing pad at the dome's apex. However, because the dome's outer shell is covered by an energy field, it is unclear how the shuttle reaches the landing pad on the outside of the dome.

The current MOD story does not expect the player to visit the Dome Research Base. Nevertheless, a variety of intriguing structures can be found inside.
- One section of the base appears to have been contaminated by a plague breach. Flesh masses and blood-like fluid cover the area, and several eyeballs can be seen watching the player as they approach. The scene evokes the unsettling possibility that the plague may escape inside the research base during a future story development.
- A mysterious device resembling a large teleporter is installed on the western side of the facility. Entering its center transports the player to an empty stretch of water near the boundary between the Bulb Zone and the Crash Zone in the eastern Crater. The intended purpose of this destination is unknown. One possibility is that a future update will place an Alterra facility there, allowing the player to enter the Dome Research Base by using a paired teleporter inside that facility. At present, the Crater-side device may simply be unimplemented, while only the outward teleportation function of the device inside the dome is operational.
- The interior of the Dome Research Base has existed since Act 2 was first implemented. At that time, however, the objects inside were scaled to an unnaturally large size, and the teleporter described above existed only as a visual model without any actual teleportation function. The current interior layout was adjusted and implemented in the Mega Hotfix released on June 10, 2026.
- On the dome wall facing the Void beside the Mountains in the northern Crater, a massive gate-like structure approximately 300 meters wide can be found at a depth of about 950 meters. At present, only the inner gate is open, while the outer gate remains closed. Because this structure did not exist before the Mega Hotfix, it may serve a story-related function in a future update.
