1. 触手:

A large jellyfish-like creature that has been assimilated into the plague. This creature glides gracefully through its environment through currents, mercilessly and indiscriminately grabbing and consuming any prey that comes too close.
1. Tendrils:
This specimen features ten sharp tendrils that are used to incapacitate its prey, capable of quickly manipulating prey and transporting it towards its mouth. When not hunting, these tendrils float loosely in the water, secreting microscopic particles (now including plague cells) directly from its digestion system back and into the ecosystem.
2. Role in the ecosystem:
The scyphomedusoid can be observed hunting and consuming local fauna, including other 'plague creations.' This cycle of the plague hunting its own kind appears to be intentional; it promotes genetic diversity, keeps populations in check, helps disperse nutrients, and further establishes a self-sufficient ecosystem.
3. Artificial natural selection theory:
This creature generally only consumes and destroys oblivious prey, resulting in the culling of 'biologically inadequate' plague creations. Alongside its role of population control, these creatures may also serve to reinforce the existence of only the most successful and intelligent plague specimens.

カラー細菌を遥かに超える危険度を持つ新種病原体「レッド・プレイグ」を実装する大型MOD「The Red Plague」で登場する、中型のクラゲ状生命体。
半透明の肉体の前後に巨大な眼球を備えた、不気味かつ異様な外観を持つ。
A medium-sized jellyfish-like lifeform appearing in the major MOD “The Red Plague,” which introduces a new pathogen far more dangerous than the Kharaa bacterium.
It has a disturbing and anomalous appearance, with enormous eyes positioned at both the front and rear of its translucent body.
高濃度のプレイグで満たされ、周囲が肉で形成された異常な空間「プレイグ洞窟」でのみ目撃されている。
It has only been observed within the Plague Cave, an anomalous flesh-formed environment filled with highly concentrated plague matter.

プレイグ洞窟内部にて、触手を揺らめかせながら当てもなく漂う姿が観察される。巨大な眼球を活発に動かしているものの、獲物や外敵を認識していると判断できるような、明確な目的を持った行動は確認されていない。
It can be observed drifting aimlessly through the Plague Cave while its tendrils sway in the water. Although its enormous eyes move actively, no clearly purposeful behavior suggesting that it recognizes prey or threats has been confirmed.
生身・乗り物を問わず、接触によるダメージは確認されていない。ただし、洞窟内は霧状のプレイグ物質によって視界が著しく遮られているため、探索中は本種との不意の衝突に注意すること。
No damage from physical contact has been confirmed, whether the player is swimming or inside a vehicle. However, visibility within the cave is severely obstructed by mist-like plague matter, so care should be taken to avoid accidental collisions while exploring.

- The surface appearance and texture of the model were slightly altered in the June 10, 2026 update. In earlier versions, it displayed hostile behavior by approaching players and vehicles and dealing contact damage, but this behavior is no longer observed in the current version. At present, it appears largely indifferent to the player, nearby creatures, vehicles, and its surrounding environment.
