Overview
A subspecies of the Boomerang, a common small herbivorous fish found in shallow waters. It inhabits only the Void and is distinguished from the common species by its deep purple coloration.
Habitat
- Silent Waters (within the Void)
Behavior
It inhabits only the floating islands within Silent Waters, an area extending roughly 500 meters from the source of the signal.
Its behavior is almost identical to that of the common Boomerang found in shallow waters, and it swims at a leisurely pace. Although its PDA entry states that it flees at remarkable speed, in practice, its movement speed changes very little even when the player approaches.
It appears to be a valuable food source for the terrifying, starving leviathan that inhabits this region.

Trivia
-

Although the Void Boomerang has no major differences from the common Boomerang apart from its coloration, several differences can be observed in its stats.
- While the common Boomerang has 30 health, this species has 100, approximately 3 times as much. This may be a result of its adaptation to harsh environments.
- When used as fuel in a Bioreactor, this species provides 200 energy, compared to 280 from the common Boomerang.
- When cooked in a Fabricator, it restores +18 food and +9 water. Compared to the common Boomerang, which restores +21 food and +3 water, it provides slightly less food but three times as much water. However, neither species is particularly useful as a food source.
