極めて高度な装置であるこのワーム・ゼノリヴァイアサン個体は、莫大な量の鉱物資源を採掘し、自律的な移動を可能としている。直接的な攻撃性は一切見られないものの、アルテラ製技術には希少鉱物が高密度で使用されているため、ワームがこれらを採取対象と認識した場合、深刻な脅威となる可能性がある。
1. 鉱物採取装置:
本装置の前部に備わる回転フレームは、摂氏1,500°Cを超える高温に達する。強固な岩盤を溶解させ、採取した鉱物を体内へと送り込む。
2. 資源輸送機構:
本個体の「脊椎」構造は、プラズマ状の物質のビームを制御している。このビームは液状化した鉱物資源の流れを誘導し、各脊椎セグメントへと分配する。これにより、ワームが地中を移動するにつれて、体内には鉱物が徐々に蓄積されていく。

A highly advanced tool, this specimen of Wyrm Xenoleviathan is capable of extracting massive amounts of mineral resources and navigating autonomously. It does not exhibit any directly aggressive tendencies. However, due the high concentration of rare minerals in Alterra technology, it may still pose a substantial threat if it deems such technology worth extracting.
1. Mineral extraction equipment:
The front of the device features a set of rotating frames exceeding 1,500 degrees Celsius which melt through tough bedrock before passing them down through the specimen's body.
2. Material transportation:
The “spine” of the specimen controls a beam of a plasma-like substance which directs the flow of liquid resources and distributes them throughout each spine segment, slowly filling the Wyrm with minerals as it moves through the ground.
3. Profile:
The specimen measures a total of 220 metres in length. It appears to disregard the presence of living fauna, suggesting purely practical applications. Because the Alterra Corporation has not published specifications regarding the class assignment “leviathan” to cybernetic phenomena, this PDA will assign this specimen the class designation Xenoleviathan. Upon re-entry to trans-gov mandated space, this specimen's data will undergo heavy investigation and an official designation will be made.
Assessment: Remain vigilant for subterranean boring in deeper regions.

行動 / Behavior
ストーリー終盤、プロトタイプ管理施設が隠された地下洞窟にて、停止状態で発見される。
施設最奥のターミナルからデータをダウンロードすると轟音とともに起動し、以降はさまざまなバイオームに姿を現す。
Near the end of the story, the specimen is discovered in an inactive state inside the underground cavern containing the Prototype Administrative Facility.
Downloading data from the terminal at the far end of the facility activates it with a thunderous sound. Afterward, it begins appearing throughout various biomes.
咆哮のような音を響かせながら地中から出現し、放物線を描いて再び地中へ潜行・消失する。ワームの活動によって他の生物が被害を受けている様子は見られず、プレイヤーや乗り物が接触してもダメージを受けることはない。
It bursts from the ground with a roar-like sound, follows an arcing trajectory, and then burrows back underground before disappearing. No other creatures appear to be harmed by its activity, and contact with either the player or a vehicle causes no damage.
現時点で稼働中であることを確認できるのは1個体のみである。
At present, only one active specimen has been confirmed.

余談 / Trivia
- プロトタイプ管理施設の周辺バイオームでは、機能停止したワームの残骸を多数発見できる。破損部から内部に侵入可能で、頭部の内側には希少なアイテムが隠されている場合がある。ただし全長が長いため、酸素切れには注意。

この個体だけが再起動し活動を再開できた理由として、ゲーム中の情報から以下の2つが推測される。
- 本個体に対して特別なシードコードが付与されていた。
- 体の大部分が地中に埋没していたため、劣化の進行を防ぐことができた。
- 本種の名称に含まれる「Wyrm」とは、一般的に用いられる「Worm」の古い形式である。「Worm」が比較的機能的・一般的な存在を表す語であるのに対し、「Wyrm」は神話や伝承において用いられることが多く、ドラゴンなどの強大な怪物と関連付けられる。
- プロトタイプ管理施設にて入手できるデータ「異星人の標本『Or-Ion』」において、本種は異星人の一個体「Or-Ion」によって開発されたことが確認できる。記録には、彼が惑星4546B原生種「アイスワーム（Ice Worm）」に着想を得た資源収集用掘削装置の開発を主導したことが記されている。

同データには、Or-Ionが「稼働中のロボットに対する不正な改造行為」により、計画管理責任者から複数回の懲戒警告を受けたことも記載されている。この改造行為の詳細は長らく不明であったが、「Phase Gate Update」にて登場した本種の攻撃形態がそれに該当する可能性がある。
資源採掘用に設計された機体に対し、「進路上のあらゆる物質を溶解する破壊的エネルギー波を放射する」機能を追加する行為は明確な意図を伴う設計変更であり、本来のプロトタイプ計画の目的から大きく逸脱していた可能性がある。
- Numerous inactive Wyrm remains can be found in the biomes surrounding the Prototype Administrative Facility. Their interiors can be entered through damaged sections, and rare items may sometimes be hidden inside the head. Because the remains are extremely long, however, players should take care not to run out of oxygen while exploring them.

Based on information found in the game, two possible reasons may explain why this particular specimen alone was able to reactivate and resume operation:
- A special seed code had been assigned to this specimen.
- Most of its body was buried underground, which may have protected it from further deterioration.
- “Wyrm,” as used in the entity's name, is an archaic form related to the more familiar word “worm.” Whereas “worm” generally describes an ordinary or functional creature, “wyrm” is commonly used in mythology and folklore and is often associated with dragons and other powerful monsters.
- The databank entry “Alien Specimen ‘Or-Ion’,” obtained in the Prototype Administrative Facility, confirms that this entity was developed by an individual alien named Or-Ion. The record states that he led the development of a resource-collecting excavation device inspired by the Ice Worm, a native species of planet 4546B.

The same record states that Or-Ion received multiple disciplinary warnings from the project administrator for “unauthorized modification of operational robotics.” The nature of these modifications remained unclear for some time, but the Aggressive form introduced in the “Phase Gate Update” may be the result.
Adding a function that “emits a destructive energy wave capable of melting all matter in its path” to a machine designed for resource extraction would constitute a deliberate design alteration and may have deviated substantially from the original purpose of the Prototype project.
